Travis Montaque: Growth through Diversity in Influencer Marketing

Tinashe Chaponda and Tonje Bakang interview Travis Montaque, the co-founder and CEO of Group Black and Crater, on The Done Deal Show podcast. Travis explains the reasons behind starting Group Black, which stemmed from the insight that only 0.5% of advertising dollars were going to black-owned media companies. He wanted to change this by building a vehicle for investment in black-owned media, resulting in closing half a billion dollars in deals with agencies and brands. Travis then discusses Crater, which aims to address the exploitation of creators by right-sizing the value exchange for their work. He emphasizes the importance of creating businesses with a specific purpose and seeing progress in their impact.
